About the role

This is an excellent role for someone with professional marketing communications and management experience looking to build a long-term career with a company that is at the forefront of its industry.

 

Key deliverables:

  1. Develop, and implement effective marketing plans, strategies and tactics
  2. Achieve/Exceed revenue, delegate numbers and other sales targets set
  3. Produce regular analytical reports measuring the effectiveness (ROI) of each marketing activity along with suggested improvements/changes
  4. Produce written copy for advertising online, print and email
  5. Implement alternative marketing methods to reduce the dependence on email
  6. Contribute to social media marketing

 

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop effective marketing campaigns, through email, online advertising and social media channels including an annual marketing plan, in line with company objectives and budgets
  • Deliver effective marketing communication strategies with the support of the marketing team, managing all processes including copywriting, design briefs etc.
  • Manage all marketing contras. Suggest new agreements, contribute to the closure of contracts and take ownership the marketing deliverables
  • Investigate, recommend and implement a range of marketing methods such as paid search, PPC and other techniques to reduce the dependence on marketing emails
  • Research and analyse market trends, demographics, pricing schedules, competitor products to form strategic marketing strategies
  • Conduct ongoing analysis of marketing activity to maximise ROI and effectiveness and improve new campaigns
  • Work with the Head of Marketing to identify opportunities for product development, preparing and executing plans accordingly
  • Manage the use of the ‘house style’ and ensure all internal and external communications are of a consistent quality and standard
  • Monitor external messaging across the board to include promotional content where appropriate
  • Support management team with marketing messaging across the four-key company prioritises
  • Maintain an extensive and up to date knowledge of Credit/Financial Services, Turnaround,
  • Restructuring and Insolvency (TRI), Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and Reward/Payroll/HR industries

 

 

Key competencies & skills:

  • Experience in marketing at a senior level with at least one of which gained within a publishing / events B2B environment
  • Proven people management
  • Exceptional copywriting skills with excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong analytical project management ability
  • Subscription/membership marketing experience is favoured
  • Experience of developing and implementing effective marketing strategies and plans for publications and event products within the finance sector would be a distinct advantage
